This was my first venture into the world of the French Press. I did a lot of reading and gooogling prior to my purchase and then even more reading of countless reviews here on amazon. I have been using this item daily for 3 weeks and still have yet to have any complaints whatsoever. Like anything else, if you take care of something and treat it right, it will respond accordingly based on its construction. While this is indeed an inexpensive item, it does exactly what it is supposed to do and does so with ease. I highly recommend this for a careful user looking to begin brewing coffee this way.
